About.
I'm a reporter, writer, producer, stand-up comedian, and trained re-enactor. While supervising half a dozen producers and editors as a Senior Managing Producer for Insider, I helped start and currently run World Wide Waste, our environmental series, as well as Maps & Data, a show about maps and, you guessed it, data
I previously produced and hosted Vox Media's news series Consider It. We were the anti-cable news: long, thoughtful discussions on current events without pesky commercial interruptions.
In 2017, I joined Comedy Central's series The Opposition with Jordan Klepper, where I produced segments and consumed an unhealthy amount of alt-right media.
Three years earlier, I transitioned to late night television, managing the research department and writing monologue jokes for Late Night with Seth Meyers. One time I played a college student who had sex with a sheep.
In 2013, I worked in the Times Video Unit for a few fruitful months, producing a number of By The Numbers and Explainer videos, among others, before departing for the opportunity at Late Night, helping to build the show from the ground up.
I got my start in media assisting New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, while covering a variety of subjects, from the 2012 election to weddings for the Vows column.
In my spare time, I care way too much about bar trivia, perform stand-up comedy, and traverse the high-octane world of crossword puzzles. I live in Brooklyn with my wife and our daughter June.
